BYRON SHIER, MBA, BSc O.T. ( C ), CLT.
Byron graduated from University of Alberta Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine: Department of Occupational Therapy in 1996. He was Vodder-trained as a Lymphedema Therapist in 1998, and became certified with the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) in 2002. Byron has presented at the International National Lymphedema Network Conference (2000), the Capital Health Wound Care Prevention: Principles and Practice Conference (2003), and Physician Breast Cancer Update (2004). Since 2005, he has taught a course on Lymphatic conditions at the University of Alberta: Department of Occupational therapy for student Occupational therapists. He enjoys being a part of Calgary's Tom Baker Cancer Centre patient education program, offering a monthly lecture for patients and their families on Lymphedema associated with Cancer care. He is Director and founder of Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation and Consulting Services Inc.

KAREN VAN HEYST, Bsc. P.T., CLT.
Karen is a graduate of Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta with over fifteen years of clinical experience. She became a Vodder-certified Lymphedema therapist in 1995 and completed her Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) certification in 2007. Karen brings extensive experience and interest working with our clients who develop Lymphedema secondary to some cancer-related treatments. Karen enjoys working collaboratively with the CLRCS team to treat other rehabilitation concerns that we identify with our clients.

KIRSTEN HAUSMANN, LMT.
Kirsten has practiced as a licensed Massage Therapist since 1991. She completed her education at Mount Royal College in Calgary and West Coast College, Vancouver, B.C. She completed her Vodder training as a Lymphedema therapist in 1996. Kirsten also brings extensive experience in manual therapy techniques to our team. Kirsten joined CLRCS to work collaboratively in a rehabilitation setting to focus on the needs of individuals with Lymphedema.

ELIZABETH BASSETT
Elizabeth is a certified surgical compression garment fitter with over 15 years of experience. She joined Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation and Consulting Services (CLRCS) to have an opportunity to work collaboratively with Lymphedema therapists, clients, and their families to help meet our client needs. She provides expertise in compression garments, education and support for our clients.
Elizabeth in her spare time can be found hovering over her Loom, creating award winning weaving masterpieces. Her skills as a seamstress are invaluable as we evaluate compression garment options for our clients.
