Assessment and treatment duration will vary according the client's specific goals and needs. An assessment will take approximately 1.5-2 hours, while treatment sessions will be a minimum of 1 hour. The initial phase of treatment may typically include up to 3 to 5 weekly treatment sessions. Treatment frequency decrease as clients demonstrate increasing independence with self-management and their Lymphedema stabilizes.

After completing the assessment, our therapist will make specific treatment and management recommendations for the client's consideration. We will accommodate and adjust treatment sessions as indicated, based on the client's input and feedback.

Cost of assessment and treatment services is based on an hourly rate of $125.00 per hour.

Travel time, mileage, and an assessment report sent to the referring physician are included in session costs.

All assessment and treatment is a homecare based Occupational Therapy Lymphedema rehabilitation service. Services will be available in municipalities of Vancouver, West Vancouver, North Vancouver, and Burnaby. Currently, we are unable to offer services to residents of other municipalities in the lower mainland; however, we plan to open an outpatient treatment center in 2012.

All compression bandages and padding materials required for multi-layered bandage treatment is an added charge. The majority of the materials and supplies can be reused throughout your treatment program but will vary based on each individual client's needs. Our clients are provided a full price list of all products and services available during the assessment.

Clients may elect to purchase graduated compression garments, stockings, and other Lymphedema products to assist in long-term Lymphedema management. Our program offers graduated compression garment and night time garment fitting services. We will provide our clients options to consider including quotes for specific products, and provide written recommendations for your physician's consideration.

Clients extended healthcare benefits and BC Pharmacare may offer limited funding options.
