Calgary Lymphedema Rehabilitation and Consulting Services Inc. is an interdisciplinary rehabilitation clinic focusing on assessing and treating lymphatic disorders. We will work with your patient to address issues often associated with Lymphedema including physical, psychosocial, and functional difficulties. Our clinic services include:
Our clinic is not funded by Alberta Health Care or Calgary Health region. Our clinic functions as a private rehabilitation clinic for non-oncology based Lymphedema referrals, including Primary Lymphedema patients. Fortunately, our services are at least partially covered by many extended health care insurance plans. Also, some of our professional services are income tax deductible. We do request a physician referral and any pertinent progress notes enclosed with the referral. Upon receiving a physician referral, we will contact your patient directly to schedule an assessment. We will follow-up by confirming the date and time of the assessment with the referring physician's office by phone or fax. Effective November 2006, patients referred to our clinic from Oncologist's affiliated with Alberta Cancer Board receive coverage for assessment and treatment services. This funding was recently extended until December 31, 2008. Thank you for your interest in our service!
